A Struggle for Justice

„We look at the early generations... They were mighty in their spirit and knew, in the depth of darkness, to choose the good and to turn away from the evil.”From Orot HaMilchamah

When we read in the Tanach about our forefathers, we encounter a reality full of wars. And even so, it is precisely toward these generations that we look with reverence and a sense of greatness. Those people lived with a deep sense that their struggle was a struggle for the existence of the nation and for the appearance of good in the world. They fought in order to create a better world. There is an enormous difficulty for all of us in these times, to enter again and again into shelters, to worry for our loved ones, to go out of our minds in the face of the difficulty of children, parents, or family. So here is a good point to think about - to understand the power that this time gives to the world, the future and the hope that our war for existence, in its justness and its importance, contributes to all of reality.
