A Great Spirit

„A generation such as this... cannot be lowly, even if its aims are entirely mistaken, yet its spirit is exalted, great, and mighty.”From Ma'amar HaDor

Rebellion, insolence, and the breaking of frameworks are not always a sign of decay, but sometimes the product of a great spirit unwilling to settle for smallness. A lowly generation sinks, a great generation demands, and even when it errs, it does so out of power and not out of indifference. This spirit cannot be mended through breaking, intimidation, or coercion. It seeks meaning, clarity, and a goal broader than the familiar. Here the role of leadership enters - not to extinguish the fire, but to direct it. Not to crush the forces, but to set before them a horizon, depth, and purpose. Leadership is called upon to see what is at work beneath the surface, to recognize the greatness of the spirit even when it is wrapped in confusion, and to lead it from collision to construction, from dismantling to revival.
