What is the difference between a momentary victory and an eternal victory? An eternal victory draws from a lofty place. The valor of the Hasmoneans is bound up in the bonds of love of a people for its land. Of a nation for its symbols and its heritage. In the will to purify and refine. And so too the valor of our soldiers, of the Hasmonean generation of our day, a generation of lions. A people that, together with all its complexities, is bound in bonds of love to the eternity within it, to its tradition and its symbols. May we merit a month with good tidings, healing and life.
