Clarification

„As long as we do not attain the supreme repair of the unity of all the currents of life and all their various inclinations... there is no peace within ourselves, and the Name of God is not called upon us.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VIII, 259

From the creation of the human being there exist struggles between currents and ideas, each of which seeks to say, 'I shall reign.' As long as we do not discover the inner connection between them, the world remains in chaos. But revealing the connection does not mean blind acceptance of everything. On the contrary, it demands meticulous examination: we must penetrate the depth of each conception, understand its uniqueness and meaning, and at the same time know how to uproot from their foundation conceptions built on falsehood, on arrogance, or on heresy. This spiritual labor, to understand, to clarify, to illuminate, and to repair, is what gives birth to the supreme peace, in which every force finds its place, and the entire world emerges from chaos into unity.
