„It is impossible not to be filled with love for every creature, for the abundance of the light of God shines in all, and everything is the revelation of the delight of the pleasantness of God; the kindness of God fills the earth.”From Middot HaRe'iyah, Ahavah
When we emerge from the difficult everyday position in which we are immersed to a higher perspective, we understand that the Holy One, blessed be He, is present and shines in all His creatures. This does not contradict the hatred of wickedness and of those who bear wickedness in the world. But it can bestow upon us an abundance of good if we pause for a moment, in the middle of an argument or a disagreement, and remember that the one standing before us is a human being who shines the light of God in the world in his own way. In Chabad language they called this 'a portion of God from above, literally,' a part of the Holy One, blessed be He, found within His creatures.
