To Love

„One must discipline oneself to love people, and especially to love the finest among people.”From Middot, Ahavah

The month of Av is a month of love. The longings in which we were burned and mourned turn in these days, little by little, into an aspiration for connection, until Tu B'Av, the festival of love, than which there were no better days for Israel. We must work very hard in order to love. To do all that is possible in order to see the good and to connect. All the efforts we see around us toward hatred, we must enlist toward love.
