The Month of Shevat

„The planting of fruit trees upon holy soil – they will make blossom the hopes of generations upon generations.”From Meged Yerachim, Shevat

When a tree blossoms and brings forth fruit, it answers the one who planted it with a response of hope and faith. The former toils and digs and hoes and fertilizes and waters and prunes and tends, and the planted tree answers him with sprouting and growth and the giving of fruit. After the gathering, long winter, one begins to see buds of a response from the trees. An opening for hope and for faith that there is a chance for renewed growth. A good month.
