To Seek God
„One who always seeks God... let him be bold and rejoice in the gift of his lot. Let him know that his love and his holy thirst are not for his own sake alone, but for the sake of the whole world, and at all times let him intend to bring merit... to all creatures and all the worlds.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VII, 208
When we seek to enter the world of the spirit, to connect to Torah and to the Holy One, we turn ourselves into a channel of abundance and good. And we must remember this: that the study and the accumulated knowledge, and the spirit by which we are influenced, are not a personal achievement, but a source of abundance and blessing. And in this too the learning person is tested – in that he remembers, deeply and inwardly, that he is a channel for abundance, out of humility, and not a vessel filled with arrogance.
