„A life of contemplation is the best life.”

„A life of contemplation is the best life.”From Shemonah Kevatzim, I, 640

When we stop and think, our life gains added value - suddenly we understand things more deeply, suddenly we notice things that usually escape our eyes.

The Rav explains that when we live our life out of depth, out of thought about everything and not out of a lack of attention, we live it better.

Think for a moment about something you did out of deep thought - how different it is from something done offhandedly and without thought.

Stopping, thinking, contemplating - a recipe for a better life.
