Chol HaMoed Pesach
„And the light of the redemption that comes together with the remembrance of the Pesach and the matzah, the signs of freedom, will sweeten for us the marks of the bitterness of exile and its spiritual and material pains, which the maror symbolizes.”From Zecher LeMikdash keHillel
Our Pesach this year is different from other Pesachs. But the difference is not essential. Every year has its matzah, its maror, and its Pesach offering. And the course of the generations in which we suffered, on the one hand, and the course of the generations in which we were redeemed, on the other - must stand before us this year too as the festival of Pesach unfolds upon us. A festival whose essence and purpose is to remember that we are the eternal people; that we are on a long road and a long process whose essence and purpose is repair. And as part of the road we must know how to taste, alongside the maror, the matzah, and alongside the Pesach offering, the charoset. To draw strength from the sweet, and to remember and not forget the bitter, in order to repair it.
