Half a Year Since the Disaster

„How much holy fire was extinguished together with these great souls.”From Al Bamoteinu Chalalim

Today we mark half a year since the terrible day on which more than a myriad of victims fell and myriads were wounded in body and soul. We deal, here too each day, with the hostages. But it is important that we remember that in those days the world was deprived of mighty and immense souls who are no longer here with us. In the essay "Al Bamoteinu Chalalim," Rav Kook speaks of the fact that those who die in war are holy by the very fact of their falling at the hands of the enemy, and that those who fell in the fulfillment of their duty in the war for the Land are such that "no creature can stand within their bounds."

Half a year since the disaster, I attach a file with the names of all those murdered and fallen, men and women, in the Swords of Iron War. May their memory be blessed.
