What Do We Do?

„Let us know one another in the name of the general Israel, not in the name of a party or a camp. Let us know that in every camp we have much to repair and much to receive from one another's light and good, and then the light will shine upon us.”From Masa HaMachanot

Again division, again internal wars between us, while the enemy tries to harry and strike at us in the south, in the north, and within all of Israel. In 1933 Rav Kook wrote "Masa HaMachanot" (The Journey of the Camps). When all is stormy outside, he writes about the way in which we must conduct ourselves. To call one another by first name, to see the person standing before us on the one hand, and on the other to see in one another the "Israel" within him, his belonging to me and not the division. To understand that every person has the light unique to him, and to receive its lights from him. The path to repair passes through the dismantling of factionalism. And then the repair, too, will come.
