Rav Kook's Sayings / Treasures of the Deep
„How many times must one descend to the depths of darkness, in order to dig precisely from there the freest, greatest, and most supernal light.”From Shemonah Kevatzim 1:564
How hard is kindness (chesed) in days of judgment (din). And how important that we remember, even in moments that seem hard and cause a distancing of the trait of kindness, that the process of the world stores up immense treasures precisely from the darkness and the lack. A deep understanding that we are advancing, step by step, and an internalization and recognition that everything, everything is for the good.
