Mishpetei HaRav Kook / Birth from Crisis
„The shallow creators want to create out of satiety, out of lightheartedness, out of eating and drinking and strolling; they consider the sorrow and the bitterness, where the crown of spiritual royalty is hidden, to be a kind of sweat peculiar to failed artists. But this is a bitter error. "Even my wisdom stood by me" — the wisdom I learned in anger stood by me.”From Shemonah Kevatzim III, 25
As part of the intensity of our world, as part of the lack imprinted in the world ever since our descent from the Garden of Eden of absolute good into a physical world — the difficulty, the decay, the sacrifice — these are an inseparable part of our development. And the greater and stronger they are, the deeper the pain, so much the more do our world and we ourselves advance. If you are experiencing difficulty, extract the marrow of life that it brings down with it, and give birth, out of the crisis, to a new level of life.
