„The seeking itself is the sought-after quality — not the finding, which is always impossible, for we march from greatness to greatness, and from seeking to seeking, from clarity to clarity, and from certainty to an ever-higher certainty.”From Olat Re'iyah I, 201

In today's world we seek immediate results, as grand and dazzling as possible. Rav Kook sets forth here an entirely different outlook on "success" — the very act of advancing is what is sought for us. The spiral movement that raises us gradually to be better, clearer, more precise. Do not always seek to conquer the summit; seek to advance toward it. Step after step. Candle after candle.

This evening I will arrive, God willing, around 18:00 at the special sale at the "Yedioth Books" warehouses in Yavne. If you are there, you are welcome to write to me. I would be glad to meet and also to consult with you ahead of the new "Mishpetei HaRav Kook" book that is due to come out soon.
