24 October 2022 · A sentence from the teachings of Rav Kook

„We will take from nature its strength, its firmness, its precise orde…”

„We will take from nature its strength, its firmness, its precise order, its persistence and diligence, its moderation, and the secure stance revealed in its phenomena with regard to itself. But we will free ourselves from its blindness, from its wildness, from its slavish necessity, from the negation of its intention, and the lack of its ideality — and then we will walk upright.”From Shemonah Kevatzim III, 240

To connect to nature is an important and deep principle, for nature is the creation of God. But even in nature there are good boundaries and boundaries to which the intellect must give limits. And we will take the good, and forgo the less good. And so in each and every detail of our world. To separate the chaff from the grain.
