4 January 2014 · A sentence from the teachings of Rav Kook

„It is a fundamental error to retreat from all our advantage, to cease…”

„It is a fundamental error to retreat from all our advantage, to cease from the recognition of "You have chosen us"... If we know our greatness, then we know ourselves, and if we forget our greatness, we forget ourselves, and a people that forgets itself is surely small and lowly.”From Orot HaTechiyah, 5

In these very days a negotiation is taking place over the Land of Israel. A negotiation over the tearing of parts from our land.

When we approach a negotiation from a place of feebleness, our ability to succeed in it does not exist. If we do not recognize our strength, if we do not recognize our right to the land, we are liable, God forbid, to find ourselves without it.

Whoever desires peace must know his strength. Magnifying the strength of the enemy and diminishing the strength of Israel is not the way to a new Middle East.

Good week.

For the recovery of Shalom ben Malka.
