„"The storm-wind of the heresies purifies all the filth that has gathered on the lower level of the spirit of faith, and through this the heavens are purified, and the clear light appears in the character of supernal faith, which is the song of the world and the truth of the world." (Shemonah Kevatzim I, 476)”

Heresy cleanses the low places within faith — all the things that attached themselves along the way and are not truly connected to the Holy One but were brought from foreign places. Heresy, in its insolence, asks questions, presents objections, and thereby compels faith to give answers and to make clarifications. And through this, faith is purified and cleansed of its dross, and the truth comes to light.
