„This year here, next year in the land of Israel -... our bond is not...”
The people of Israel are bound to the land of Israel as part of their very being, not on account of any particular thing but as part of their essence and existence; they are bound to the Holy Land. The physical distance by which we have grown remote from the land of Israel over the generations does not weaken our attachment to this land, to which we are bound with every fiber of our soul.
Let us remember this even now that we have merited to live in the Holy Land and breathe its air. At times, precisely when we are very close, we forget the greatness of the privilege we have been granted.
A pleasant day to all.
In memory of Yosef ben Masuda.
