„There is no doubt that within the treasury of this point all the supe…”
„There is no doubt that within the treasury of this point all the supernal delights are hidden, and all the highly valuable theory that surrounds the repair of this holy foundation - to direct the sexual inclination and its branches at their root toward the holy aim of life - this is the foundational cornerstone of all moral values that establish the human world, both inner and outer.”From Orot HaKodesh III, 296
We are in the days of Shovavim, days in which the pious and men of deeds customarily fast each week over the flaw of the covenant.
The flaw of the covenant is a flaw located at the center of life, owing to the fact that it represents a genuine need existing within a person, as well as an existential need for humanity - bringing life into the world.
By right, one should minimize and engage in modesty in public; this is the most modest course. Therefore, until now I have not brought material dealing with this. But because I saw that the internet is full of this, as are the pages of various rabbis and figures on Facebook, I decided to bring these words.
Contending with the flaw of the covenant is an immense and exceedingly difficult struggle, so difficult that whoever succeeds in guarding himself from this flaw is called righteous.
Rav Kook says that this matter is central, and contending with it is contending with the very force of life itself. Therefore we must contend with this sin with all our might on the one hand, and on the other hand, if, God forbid, we fall, to know that "the righteous falls seven times and rises," and that our strength lies in our rising up.
Success in the struggle, before and after the fall, is what establishes and gives strength to a person and to the world in all the values of his life. Disregard of this is disregard of the force of life.
A pleasant day!
