We are today at the beginning of the month of Kislev, the month in which we celebrate the festival of Chanukah.

There is in Chanukah something very Israeli, something that greatly longs for the return of the kingdom of Israel to its place, for Israelite might and valor.

We have merited to be a generation that fights for its freedom in its land. It seems to me that Rav Kook gives us a recipe for inner valor, for a great inner light.

If we know how to unite, we will be able to prevail; if we know how to take from the strength of each of our fellows, we will have a very special power, a mighty power of togetherness, a single immense torch of light.
