„My soul yearns for hidden wonders, for the concealed strength of supernal mysteries, and finds no contentment in abundant knowledge that turns to small particulars. My soul yearns for the wondrous, and the sea of knowledge greatly roars, and within me its waves crash, and thought upon thought is built like a wall, and behold, the Infinite stands over it. My soul yearns for the boundless expanse.”From which was also set to music by Ovadia Hamama
Rav Kook expresses his intense desire to know, to delve deeply into knowledge, and to build himself and his opinions little by little.
It is important to say (although it is clear to most of us) that Rav Kook was a human being, and his greatness came to him from his great diligence and his intense desire.
