A Collision That Brings Growth

Most of us have enormous difficulty with argument. When two opinions and positions collide with one another, it sometimes creates an inner tension that is very hard to bear. But precisely this clash, when it occurs, creates a spark that allows us to advance to the next step. Fleeing from it, concealing it, may bring temporary quiet, but also stagnation and lack of progress. The contradiction itself is the engine of resolution; within this process treasures are revealed that we would not have seen without it.
