The Beating of the Wings of History

The year is 1917. Britain's foreign secretary, Lord Balfour, declares that his country will support the establishment of a Jewish home in the Land of Israel. The idea, which until then seemed impossible, fanciful, and messianic, begins to take shape. Rav Kook, the Chief Rabbi of the Land of Israel, blesses the British kingdom for the merit it took in history. We must continue to dream, and to believe. Historic days, and blessings to the United States and its president.
