„Weakness and weariness are the gateway to all evil traits. They arouse sadness, and sadness brings anger and pride, jealousy and enmity, and all the lowliest inclinations. Therefore, the practice of health, of bodily courage, is a holy work on behalf of the collective and of the individual. (Shemonah Kevatzim, Collection V, 167)”
When a person feels that he has no strength, he gives an opening to evil things. Into the empty and sick void enter sadness and anger, which bring with them pride, jealousy, and enmity toward the collective and toward the person himself.
When you feel that you have no strength, when you feel choked, this is the time to put on sports clothes and go out for a light run. This is the time to take a friend and go out to relax a little.
Improving one's external feeling brings a person to inner joy and to health.
Have a pleasant day.
For the recovery of Yonatan ben Stella.
