Parashat Chukat
„Every person must know that he is called to serve according to the root of his soul... let flowing contents not confuse him... which he is not fit to bind well into his own bundle of life. Those worlds will find their repair in their own place, with those suited to their building and their perfection.”From Shemonah Kevatzim IV, 6
This week's parashah opens with the statute (chok) of the Torah. With things that we must do even without understanding. Our Torah, alongside its being eternal and unequivocal, "speaks" with each and every one of us. Each person has the letter unique to him and to his soul, the special work that he must do in his life, and his own light. The more we remember that we are the ones responsible for our own repair, and not for repairs that are not in our hands, the more our light will illumine the world and advance it.
