10 May 2016 · A sentence from the teachings of Rav Kook

„It is a great error on the part of those who do not sense the segulah…”

„It is a great error on the part of those who do not sense the segulah-unity within Israel, and who wish to equate this divine matter, unique to the Israelite character, with the matter of any content of a people and a language.”

Our enemy understands that we are one people. With all the differences of opinions and camps and colors and faiths. One people.

And on this Memorial Day all our graves look the same. With the blue and white upon them. With 'May his soul be bound in the bond of life' upon them.

And together there enter into the grave of Israel also those nations who made a covenant with us. And they too are part of that same treasured people under the covenant they made.

And let us, the living, remember this togetherness that the enemy reminds us of, even in difficult moments.
